How to implement gap analysis in your BCMS effectively?

A gap analysis is performed to check the loopholes in a business continuity plan.  It analyses the current business continuity plan of an organization and forms a checklist of all the compliant and non-compliant points to enable the organization to do necessary improvements to meet the required ISO 22301 standards. To implement the gap analysis a gap analysis Team is formed to review the gap and modify the non-compliant points in accordance with the required standard. Scheduling of the gap analysis exercise ensures the coordination between all the participating members and team members. The scope of the gap analysis is estimated by the team to distribute it to auditors to make a summarized report consisting of all audit conclusions indicating all non-compliance gaps in the report. The coordinating team will be responsible for defining deadlines for gap closure.  After the whole procedure, the BCM is likely to be more effective in meeting the ISO 22301 standards.
