Plan

The plan process studies the policies, objectives and organizational outputs and then establishes objectives, targets and procedures for the plan accordingly. The most crucial step is to build a roadmap for an effective business continuity management program and it involves several modules like developing policies and establishing a monitoring committee to check the accountability of the process.

 

Do

The do process develops and implements the business continuity plans, documents procedures to understand, monitor and test the organization’s continuity capabilities. A business impact analysis and a risk assessment is done before developing the strategies after which implementation of response and recovery strategy is performed

 

Check 

An internal audit and management review is established to measure the plan’s performance against the predefined policies and objectives. 

 

Act

To ensure the continuous improvements, corrective actions and preventive actions are undertaken.
